25 people suspected of attempting to stage a coup were detained in Germany

In Germany, law enforcement officers detained 25 people suspected of preparing a coup.

Operational measures are currently being carried out against another 27 citizens.

The TASS agency reported this with reference to representatives of the German Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the department, 22 arrested citizens are suspected of creating a terrorist organization.

Three more, including a Russian woman, are suspected of supporting this illegal structure.

Investigative activities are carried out in 130 locations. They continue against 27 more suspects, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

And they added: arrests were made in Berlin, Bavaria, Saxony and Lower Saxony, Hesse, and other regions of the country.

In addition, suspects were detained in the Austrian and Italian cities of Kitzbühel and Perugia.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, these citizens organized a council with government-like structures, as well as its military wing.

The participants recruited new supporters into their ranks, primarily from among the military and police.

Law enforcement officers found out that the suspects planned to storm the Bundestag.

The German media called the recent operation one of the largest in German history.
