In north-east London, a man armed with a samurai sword attacked passers-by.
As a result of his attack, five people were injured, as reported by doctors and police.
The ambulance team was called to the scene of an emergency near the Heinolt metro station on the morning of April 30 – at 06:54 (08:54 Belarusian time).
Several ambulances were sent there,” TASS quotes an excerpt from a statement from the London Ambulance Service.
Together with employees of other emergency services, doctors provided assistance to the five victims and took them to the hospital.
Before this, city police reported that a man drove a car into a house and then, armed with a samurai sword, attacked passers-by and two law enforcement officers.
The attacker, a 36-year-old man, was detained. He is now in custody.
Police note that they are not classifying the incident as terrorism-related.
The incident is currently under investigation.
