By order of the Polish Ministry of Defense, all military exercises in the country have been suspended.
The reason for issuing such an order was the latest – fifth in a row – death of a serviceman.
The incident took place on Tuesday, March 26, during mountain training classes in the Tatras.
It was there that a special forces soldier died, TASS agency.
By the decision of the Minister of National Defense, all training using explosives and military equipment was stopped, the ministry said.
It is noted that department specialists are currently conducting an investigation into the death of the special forces soldier and are clarifying all the circumstances of the tragedy.
The media remind: the death of a military man in the Tatra Mountains was the fifth death of military personnel during exercises held in Poland in March.
Thus, on March 5, at the training center of the armored forces, two soldiers were killed under the wheels of an infantry fighting vehicle.
And just recently, on March 25, two sappers were killed as a result of an unauthorized detonation of a TNT charge at a test site in the Szla Voivodeship.
The Ministry of Defense added: the order to suspend the exercises does not apply to “actions carried out by structures that are preparing to participate in foreign missions and operations outside the state, as well as training Ukrainian soldiers.”
Previously, the media reported that in Poland there were two soldiers at the training ground under tracked vehicles.
