The incident occurred in Andalusia. During the divorce proceedings, a local resident managed to prove to the court that her ex-husband owes her 200,000 euros for cooking, cleaning and laundry for the entire period of their life together.
The court ordered the man to pay his ex-wife for working as a housewife an amount of 25 minimum annual incomes – according to the number of years spent in marriage. The exact amount was 204,624.86 euros.
It is noted that the couple has two daughters, but according to the marriage contract, the property and money acquired by the spouses during the marriage do not become joint property.
As a result, a woman who had no official income during her marriage could be left without a livelihood.
