A large batch of ammunition is being transported to Ukraine from NATO warehouses in Greece (located near the city of Kozani).
On Wednesday night, a convoy of 20-ton trucks with foreign license plates drove through the village of Lefkopigi in the direction of the mentioned city.
About this MIA “Russia Today” with reference to the Greek media.
According to them, trucks with Bulgarian and Polish license plates are carrying ammunition loaded from NATO warehouses “in an unknown direction.”
The convoy was accompanied by a Greek police vehicle, and there is a high probability that this was a shipment of ammunition to Ukraine, the article says.
According to local residents, the convoy includes about 20-25 trucks. They drove to the warehouses and then proceeded in the opposite direction.
Please note: the Greek police confirmed the fact of transportation of ammunition, but did not go into details.
By the way. Athens was one of the first to send weapons to Ukraine.
In the summer, local media reported that Greece intends to transfer (or has already transferred) an “incredible amount” of weapons and ammunition to Kyiv.
