The incident occurred in the capital of Kosovo, Pristina.
Everything ended well: doctors managed to get the gadget out piece by piece using an endoscope.
Doctor Skender Telyaku, the head of the medical team that saved the man, said this on Facebook.
A 33-year-old resident of Pristina came to the hospital after swallowing a Nokia 3310 phone whole. For what purpose this was done, the patient did not say.
The man walked with the phone in his stomach for 4 days until he became ill.
An x-ray confirmed that there was indeed a phone in the man’s stomach.
Doctors managed to remove the gadget piece by piece using an endoscope, without cutting the stomach.
The operation was successful and there were no complications.
