A mercenary from the United States who was captured in Russia spoke about corruption in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
American mercenary Andy Huynh, who fought on the side of Ukraine, was captured by Russia.
According to available information, he voluntarily surrendered near Kharkov. As does another fighter.
MIA Rossiya Segodnya spoke about this, noting that the American told the RT television channel about the circumstances preceding his capture.
According to him, near Kharkov he was part of the Baget special detachment from the reconnaissance battalion.
The US citizen also said that most of the fighters in this unit are French.
Huynh says that during the retreat, the Ukrainian military asked to cover them. But while they were doing this, the Russians took control of the position.
We were forced to retreat. My colleague and I spent three hours in the trench. Then we walked for about five hours through the forest. “Eventually we reached the road and surrendered to Russian troops,” he said.
