A meteorite exploded in the sky over fire-ravaged Turkey

0views

In Izmir, Turkey, local residents noticed a meteor that flew overhead with a bright flash.

On social networks, eyewitnesses share photos and videos taken.

In the published footage you can see a bright flash that lit up the night sky.

A flying object cut through the sky with sounds like explosions.

Local residents write that some seriously thought about an explosion – the roar from the flying meteorite was so strong.

Turks joke on social networks that after the meteorite they will face a zombie invasion.

The fact is that now the country is trying to cope with another problem. Forest fires are raging in some regions of the country and are difficult to contain.

In Koycegiz, the streets were gripped by real panic, in Marmaris tourists were being evacuated, and in the resort of Fethiye, drivers literally had to drive along a highway engulfed in fire.

Meanwhile, there are no plans to evacuate tourists from Turkey. Fires do not pose a threat to hotels – rescue services do not allow the fire to get to populated areas.
