A plane of the country’s Ministry of Defense crashed in the Kotayk region of Armenia.

As a result of the plane crash, two people on board the An-2 were killed.

TASS reported this with reference to a statement by the press secretary of the defense department of the republic, Aram Torosyan.

According to him, the ministry’s training plane crashed.

The Ministry of Defense expresses deep condolences to the family members of the pilots, their loved ones and colleagues,” Torosyan said.

According to his information, the aircraft was on the balance sheet of the Ministry of Defense.

From the details of the incident, it is known that the Crisis Management Center of the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department received a message from a local resident at half past nine in the morning (08:30 Minsk time).

He said that a plane crashed near the city of Yeghvard. The task force immediately left there.
