An emergency situation occurred in Kamchatka. An An-26 passenger plane disappeared there.

It is known that the crew of the aircraft stopped communicating approximately nine kilometers from the village of Palana.

According to the Kamchatka Aviation Enterprise, “communication with flight No. 251 was lost immediately before the maneuver during landing in the area of ​​9 kilometers to the village of Palana,” reports MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

At the moment, it is known that the missing plane was flying from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to the village of Palana.

An-26 took off from Yelizovo airport today, July 6, at 12:57 local time (03:57 Minsk time).

He was supposed to land at his destination at 15:05 (06:05 Belarusian time).

According to currently available information, there were 28 people on board: six crew members and 22 passengers, including a seven-year-old child.

A criminal case has been opened regarding violation of safety rules.
