A missile capable of covering a distance of 15,000 kilometers and reaching almost any point in the United States was launched by the DPRK.
We are talking about an intercontinental ballistic missile launched by North Korea along an overhead trajectory towards the Sea of Japan.
According to MIA Rossiya Segodnya, citing the Yonhap agency, which in turn refers to the South Korean military, the rocket flew 1,000 km.
It fell into the waters of the Sea of Japan – outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
Representatives of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea, monitoring the situation with Pyongyang’s missile launches, said that this was exactly what happened.
Before this event, Kim Tae-hyo, First Deputy National Security Advisor to the President of South Korea, spoke about the high probability that it would happen.
According to him, North Korea could launch an intercontinental ballistic missile in December that could travel 15,000 kilometers and reach the United States.
And the last time Pyongyang tested the Hwasong-18 solid-fuel missile was in July of this year.
Previously, North Korea announced a successful spy satellite.
