A science fiction writer has been appointed as the new head of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
Journalist and science fiction writer Illarion Pavlyuk has been appointed to the position of head of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to local media, the new head of the press service is the author of a number of fantastic thrillers and works in the science fiction genre.

The Department of Press and Information in the Ministry of Defense was headed by Illarion Pavlyuk, – the message says.
According to the Ukrainian press, in 2015 Pavlyuk fought in the Donbass – he was listed as a fighter in the volunteer reconnaissance special unit “Harpoon”.
After February last year, the writer was mobilized into a unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, where he served for a year and a half.

She was fired after she publicly made an untrue statement that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had taken control of Andreevka in the DPR.
