The tremors became known at 16:06 Japanese time (10:06 Belarusian time).
Already at 16:10 local time (in Belarus at that moment it was 10:10) the most powerful shock was recorded. The magnitude was 7.6.
In total, almost three dozen earthquakes are known to have occurred today in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Serious tremors were felt in many large cities, including the Japanese capital.
It is possible that a tsunami will hit some regions of the Asian country.
Consequences of earthquakes
It is known that many houses were damaged.
