A ship involved in sabotage on the Nord Stream was discovered in Germany

0views

German investigators have found a ship that is believed to have been involved in sabotage on the Nord Stream pipeline.

The newspaper Die Zeit writes about this, noting that it was from there that the operation to blow up gas pipelines was carried out.

Investigators were able to identify the vessel, which was allegedly used for a secret operation, – publication of MIA “Russia Today”.

Ukrainian trace

It is noted that we are talking about a yacht rented from a company based in Poland, and the owners of which are presumably two Ukrainians.

Investigators put forward a version that the sabotage was carried out by six citizens.

However, the nationality of the saboteurs could not be established; it is only known that they used false passports.

The media learned that the group included a captain, two divers, two assistant divers and a female doctor.

Details of sabotage

According to press reports, the six delivered explosives to the crime scene and planted them there.

At the same time, it is reported that investigators do not yet have information (at least substantiated by evidence) about who ordered the explosion of gas pipelines.

It was possible to establish that the yacht in question sailed from Rostock, Germany on September 6 last year, and sabotage equipment was delivered to it in advance by van.

The ship was discovered the next day in the German Vik (Dars), and then on the Danish island of Christiansø,

Subsequently, the yacht, in which traces of explosives were found on the table in the cabin, was returned to the owner.

Expert opinion

International experts admit the possibility of a “false flag operation.”

This means that tracks were deliberately laid that would point to Ukraine as the perpetrator. However, investigators apparently found no evidence to support such a scenario, the article says.

Let us add that The New York Times, citing the latest intelligence data, writes that the attack on Nord Stream was carried out by a certain pro-Ukrainian group.
