At least seven people were killed when a 21-story building collapsed in Nigeria’s largest city, Lagos.

It is known that the skyscraper is located in the Ikoye region of this port city in the southwest of the country.

The Nigerian online news resource PM News reported on the incident, noting that at least fifty people could be under the rubble.

According to this source, to date, rescuers have recovered the bodies of seven dead citizens from the rubble.

There is a possibility that at least 50 people may still be under the collapsed house.

It is also noted that by this time not a single survivor had been pulled out from under the rubble of the building under construction.

Earlier, city emergency services evacuated several citizens who were near the scene of the incident.

The evacuees, as far as we know, were injured, including people with serious injuries.

The city police chief was present at the site of the collapsed skyscraper.

Rescuers and representatives of the Red Cross are currently working there.
