A state of emergency has been introduced in the Russian resort town of Gelendzhik.
The special situation will apply within several blocks.
We are talking about those parts of the settlement that are located next to the Astoria Hotel, where the explosion occurred on July 13.
The emergency regime began to operate on the same day at 16:00, reports the press service of the Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Krasnodar Territory.
At the moment, emergency restoration work is being carried out in the area of the tragedy.
Currently, there are no problems with water supply and access to electricity in buildings in the emergency area.
Law enforcement officials are establishing the causes of the incident.
Explosion at the Astoria Hotel
Let us remind you that an explosion in a building for vacationers and visitors occurred in Gelendzhik on the morning of July 13.
As a result of the incident, one person died. Five were injured: all of them were taken to one of the city’s health care institutions.
After the incident, 37 hotel guests left the resort. Another 22 people moved to other hotels.
