The first photographs of damage to the Nord Stream gas pipelines resulting from explosions have appeared.

The photographs were published by the Swedish newspaper Expressen, which received exclusive permission to film from the authorities.

The photographs are frames from a video taken by an underwater unmanned vehicle – MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

These images show significant damage sustained at the site of the gas pipeline explosion.

Also, here and there on the pipe you can see cracks, protruding sharp edges, and deformed metal.

And traces of the explosion are visible on the seabed.

“In order to damage such thick metal, a very large force is required, as we can see,” the newspaper quotes UAV operator Trond Larsen.

The Copenhagen police reported the preliminary results of an investigation into the incident, carried out with the assistance of the military and in cooperation with the Norwegian police security service.

The investigation confirmed that the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines in Denmark’s exclusive economic zone suffered significant damage and that the damage was caused by powerful explosions, police said.

In some countries they say that the cause of the incident was sabotage. But who is behind it has not yet been established.
