14views

The last two days of abnormal heat have tested the strength of the population of Canada.

World media reports, citing local law enforcement data, that over the past 2 days more than 100 people have become victims of the summer heat. It became known that most of the dead were elderly people.

According to the Associated Press, an absolute weather record was set in the province of British Columbia.

Thus, thermometers in the village of Lytton initially showed 46.1 degrees Celsius.

Then there were reports that the air temperature had reached a historical maximum of +47.9 degrees Celsius.

The day before it became known that the thermometer had risen to +49.5 degrees.

Investigations are being carried out into cases of death that have become known to the police.

At the moment, law enforcement officers are inclined to believe that the main version of the death of elderly people is abnormal heat. However, the activities are not over yet.

The local weather bureau reports that in some parts of Canada the thermometer will remain around 40-45 degrees until the end of the week.
