Abnormal heat wave will plunge Europe into “energy storm” and chaos – Bloomberg

52views

Europe is predicted to have very bad prospects – they promise an “energy storm” and even chaos on a continental scale.

Moreover, the onset of such unfavorable phenomena is expected earlier than previous forecasts said.

And the reason for this is the abnormal heat that hit a number of European countries.

It is precisely this that will not allow the European Union to restore gas reserves by this winter, and, as a result, Europe will plunge into the abyss of an “energy storm” and become mired in hopeless chaos.

Such expectations of Rystad Energy analysts were published by Bloomberg, MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

Already this week, according to weather forecasters, air temperatures in some British and French regions may reach record levels.

The heat significantly fuels the demand for cooling, and this in turn provokes an increase in world prices for liquefied natural gas, experts say.

In their opinion, the unprecedented heat will not allow the EU to restore reserves of blue fuel before the start of the coming winter season.

Our updated scenarios show that Europe is likely to face the storm much sooner than previously thought and that the region will be underprepared for the chaos it will bring, analysts said.
