After May 20, the UN continues to consider Vladimir Zelensky the legitimate president of Ukraine.

The representative of the organization’s Secretary General, Stephane Dujarric, informed the world community about this at a press conference.

President Zelensky remains for us the head of state of Ukraine and the person with whom the Secretary General communicates when he needs to contact the Ukrainian leader, – official of MIA “Russia Today”.

Why does the date appear May 20? Because on that day, that is, last Monday, Zelensky’s presidential term formally expired.

Let us remind you that the elections of the head of state in Ukraine were to be held on March 31 of this year, and the inauguration of the newly elected president in May.

However, the event was canceled, saying that it was impossible under martial law and general mobilization.

Zelensky himself said that the presidential elections are now “not the right time,” inviting his compatriots to “put an end to this topic.”

Earlier, Russian media reported that Vladimir Zelensky’s presidential term expired on May 20.
