0views

There is a traffic jam of oil tankers off the Turkish coast. This happened after the introduction of a price ceiling for Russian energy resources.

Oil traders and intermediaries shared this information with the Financial Times.

In addition, similar data, according to the publication, is provided by services that track ships.

At least 19 tankers were expected to cross Turkish waters, – MIA Rossiya Segodnya, citing an American newspaper.

In the opinion of the author of the publication, the current situation indicates that, due to the introduced price ceiling, oil supplies around the world are in danger of being disrupted.

It is worth mentioning here that from December 1, Türkiye requires a letter from insurance companies confirming the provision of P&I insurance to the vessel for passage through the straits.

According to the Financial Times, Russian companies provided Ankara with the necessary written confirmations.

Tankers caught in an unexpected jam are expected to have insurance from Western companies.
