All requirements were met, says Moraes in a decision that released X

In the decision determining the , minister Alexandre de Moraes, from the (STF), said that the platform met “all the requirements” to return to operation.

“All the necessary requirements for the immediate return of the activities of X BRASIL INTERNET LTDA. in national territory were documented and certified by the Judiciary Secretariat”, .

According to the decision, the return of X’s activities in Brazil was conditioned on “full compliance with Brazilian legislation and absolute compliance with the decisions of the Judiciary, in respect for national sovereignty”.

The platform was offline for 39 days. The order to suspend X in Brazil was given by Moraes on August 30. The First Panel of the STF unanimously confirmed the decision at the beginning of September.

Moraes ordered the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) to be notified so that, within 24 hours, . The agency must communicate the decision to internet providers.

The minister’s decision was given after the platform complied with all STF orders. The company had to pay R$28.6 million in fines to resume operating in the country.

OX also complied with STF decisions to suspend nine profiles on the platform that disseminated threats and hate speech and appointed a legal representative in Brazil, with due proof from public bodies.

There were nine accounts in question, which were being used to publicize attacks on institutions, threats to Federal Police (PF) delegates and content considered anti-democratic.
