American Colonel McGregor: The United States gave a signal to Putin that it does not want negotiations on Ukraine
Former adviser to the US Secretary of Defense, Colonel Douglas McGregor, believes that Washington gave a signal to Russian President Vladimir Putin that it does not want negotiations on Ukraine and is waiting for a military end to the conflict.
The colonel expressed this opinion on the Judging Freedom YouTube channel.
Why the US doesn’t want negotiations
According to McGregor, the outcome of the Ukrainian conflict will be determined on the battlefields, because the United States does not intend to negotiate and has shown its disinterest in Putin.
As for rumors that the United States will allow Ukraine to use American weapons to strike Russia, this is unlikely to lead to an escalation of the conflict, the colonel believes.
He believes that the conflict will end before the Ukrainian army receives the necessary missiles.
McGregor noted that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky should be interested in achieving a ceasefire through US mediation, since the Ukrainian army is suffering serious losses, and the likelihood of an offensive by Russian troops is quite high.
However, according to the colonel, Washington made it clear that he would not agree to this, since this was essentially tantamount to admitting defeat.
McGregor is convinced that Washington will never admit that its actions led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens and forced millions of Ukrainians to flee the country in search of asylum.
