The Pentagon chose not to talk about the details of the incident, but emphasized that the UAV took off from Yemeni territory.
As for the successful defense of the ship, by this the Pentagon means the destruction of the drone by the crew of the destroyer – it was destroyed.
The Pentagon also said that no one on the ship was injured as a result of the incident, and no damage was caused to the destroyer.
