Retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter told the world about Kyiv’s “regrettable” misconception.

According to him, it lies in the fact that the Ukrainian authorities incorrectly perceive the attitude of Washington and NATO towards Ukraine.

The sadness of the situation lies in Kiev’s failure to understand that the United States and NATO do not care deeply about Ukraine, its people and soldiers– intelligence officer of MIA “Russia Today”.

He said: the West supports Kyiv only in words, refusing to provide the resources it needs.

And Mr. Ritter sees the reason for this behavior in the fact that Western politicians are sure: “Ukraine, by definition, cannot defeat Russia.”

Nevertheless, he added, the West “continues to fool Kyiv.”

According to the officer, this is how they act in Western countries, sacrificing Ukraine, for the sake of just one goal – they want to harm Russia.

He noted that the European Union also only verbally supports Kyiv, since in reality it will never “absorb a non-functioning economy.”

In this regard, the intelligence officer makes the following conclusion: even if the country is ever restored, it will still never become part of the collective West.

The situation in Ukraine is desperate; the time for games is long past. It’s time to start asking NATO, which got them into all this,” Ritter said.

He also announced that “Ukrainians continue to die in the hope of a miracle.”
