Recently, an uninvited guest was discovered in Cuban waters – an American submarine.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberty Island knows about this. They claim that they are aware that the USS Helena submarine is in their territorial waters.
The Foreign Ministry says that the guest from the United States arrived without an invitation, although according to all the rules such visits are supposed to be made exclusively by invitation.
In particular, this was announced by Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba Carlos Fernandez de Cossio Dominguez.
We knew about their presence because, according to precedents that we have been following for many years, the United States informed us in advance – TASS diplomat.
At the same time, he emphasized: official Havana does not like the presence on its territory and the movement through its waters of “this type of means.”
He recalled that these funds belong to a country that is pursuing a policy hostile to the republic.
Visits of naval assets to the country should be by invitation, but this is not the case,” the deputy minister noted.
He urged not to forget the fact that the occupation of Cuba by a foreign state “against the will” of its people is unacceptable.
The diplomat is referring to the province of Guantanamo, which Havana believes the United States illegally occupied.
And the mentioned submarine is now located in the bay of that province.
There is now an American naval base there, where a world-famous prison was created in 2002.
