An 8th grade student became a defendant in the criminal case of the attempt on the lives of Margarita Simonyan and Ksenia Sobchak.

The assassination attempt itself was prevented by FSB officers in July last year, as a result of which a group of neo-Nazis was detained in Moscow and the Ryazan region.

Russian media are reporting about new participants in the assassination attempt with reference to the Telegram channel “Caution, News.”

According to a source, new defendants have appeared in the case of the assassination attempt on Margarita Simonyan and Ksenia Sobchak.

One of the detainees is a 14-year-old schoolboy, an eighth-grade student. A communications college student and an installer were also involved in the attack.

It also became known that both were detained on May 7 for hooliganism, after which a preventive measure was chosen against the violators, implying restriction of freedom.

It is also clarified that the new defendants are related to the activities of the neo-Nazi group “Paragraph 88”.

As previously reported, in July 2023, the FSB prevented an assassination attempt on Margarita Simonyan and Ksenia Sobchak, which was ordered by the SBU.

The Paragraph-88 group included teenagers. All of them were united by the ideas of neo-Nazism.

According to one version, the attackers were preparing an assassination attempt on Russian journalists, being under the influence of the SBU.

Earlier it became known that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation was the organizer of the Belarusian extremist formation.
