5views

Chinese scientists have discovered a previously unknown virus, which they found deep in the Mariana Trench.

This message was transmitted by Microbiology Spectrum.

“Rossiyskaya Gazeta” that Chinese scientists isolated virus microorganisms from sediment at a depth of just under 9 kilometers.

They also realized that the virus feeds on bacteria, which it finds in the sediments of deep seas and geysers.

According to experts, this is the deepest type of bacteriophage in the World Ocean.

Bacteriophages can already be used in medicine. Recently, Russian scientists from a research medical university created a composition for healing burns.

This type of bacteria is capable of destroying pathogenic microflora. The virus is applied to polyurethane material.

When it is applied to a burn, bacteriophages reduce the time required to restore the skin.
