Apple and Tesla suppliers suspend production in China

0views

Component suppliers for the Apple and Tesla brands have suspended production.

The decision was influenced by the Chinese government’s requirement to limit electricity consumption as part of the fight for climate change, which affected the production performance of some enterprises.

Chinese factories supplying Apple and Tesla were under attack, Reuters reports.

For example, the Taiwanese company Unimicron Technology, a supplier of motherboards for Apple, announced that it would stop production at three subsidiaries in China.

The factories will be operational from September 26 to 30.

According to the manufacturer, the temporary shutdown of the enterprise will not affect the volume of production.

We are talking about a new policy of limiting energy consumption, which was developed in China as part of the fight for the ecology of the planet.

Due to the restrictions, there was a threat of supply disruptions during the peak period of electronics sales.

Foxcon (Apple’s main supplier) and Concraft Holding (components for Apple headphones) also report difficulties.

At the moment, suppliers are helped out by accumulated inventories.
