Starting this Monday (14), the Brazilian Army will carry out the largest cyber exercise in the southern hemisphere.
The activities will include simulations of hacker attacks on critical infrastructure, such as hydroelectric plants and telecommunications networks, in order to test the country’s defense and protection capacity.
The exercises will take place simultaneously at the Higher Defense School, in Brasília, and at the 2nd Army Division Command, in São Paulo, until Friday (18).
These simulations seek to allow the Armed Forces, public agencies and critical infrastructure managers to work together to develop solutions and evaluate reactions against attacks.
The exercise — called Cyber Guardian 6.0 — will be attended by 140 organizations and representatives from more than 30 countries.
