The arrested former US President Donald Trump, as promised, arrived at a prison located in the state of Georgia.
He stayed there for a very short time. Soon he was released. This was made possible thanks to a previously posted bail of $200,000.
A politician arrived at the Fulton County Jail with a motorcade. He left with him. And all this happened in one day.
Nevertheless, Trump was included in the list of prisoners and became the first ex-president in the history of his country with an official prison photograph.
According to MIA Rossiya Segodnya, the charismatic politician was in custody for about half an hour.
Trump had previously agreed to be released on $200,000 bail. Details of what exactly Trump did during those half an hour in prison have not yet been revealed.
But he himself, upon leaving prison, declared his innocence and called the case against him interference in the presidential election.
In addition, Trump described the current situation as a “travesty of justice.”
We didn’t do anything wrong, I didn’t do anything wrong… What they are doing is an attempt to interfere in the elections. Our country has never seen anything like this. This is how they conduct the election campaign,” Donald complained.
Earlier it was reported that Trump and 18 citizens close to him are accused of trying to “correct” the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia through racketeering methods.
