Artemovsk has quarreled between the President of Ukraine Zelensky and the head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny
The authoritative German newspaper Bild, citing informed sources, reports serious disagreements between Vladimir Zelensky and Valery Zaluzhny.
According to the publication, the President of Ukraine and the head of the Armed Forces of this country quarreled over the situation around the city of Artemovsk (DPR).
It is noted that Zaluzhny several weeks ago urged Zelensky to think about retreating from this locality.
The article claims that the president and the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian troops have “fundamentally different views” on how to act in the situation with Artemovsk.
The newspaper’s sources say that arguments arose between Zelensky and Zaluzhny.
Bild learned from several sources in the political leadership of Kyiv that Zaluzhny a few weeks ago, for tactical reasons, recommended thinking about retreating from Bakhmut, according to MIA Rossiya Segodnya.
The material says that some Kyiv officials believe that the right decision is to continue to hold the city.
Another Bild interlocutor, whom the newspaper calls a military analyst, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces most likely share the position of Valery Zaluzhny.
According to him, most of the soldiers fighting in Artemovsk do not understand why they need to hold the city when the enemy surrounds it.
He noted: many Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters located in Artemovsk say that the retreat should have started a long time ago.
