At least 35 people died in a burning house in southern Kuwait

A terrible tragedy happened in the south of Kuwait – dozens of people died there in a burning residential multi-storey building.

According to the local news agency KUNA, at least 35 people died in the fire (some media reports about 41 dead).

The agency reports 15 victims (according to other publications, more than fifty citizens were injured).

A representative of the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, cited by KUNA, said that the fire occurred in the city of Mangaf.

Emergency services, TASS, received a report of a fire at around six o’clock in the morning (the time coincides with Belarusian time).

Firefighters and forensic scientists worked at the scene of the incident and were able to identify the identities of the three victims.

People injured in the fire were taken to hospitals.

The media reports: the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs went to the scene of the tragedy.

What caused the fire is still unknown. Perhaps information about the cause of the fire and the circumstances of the incident will appear later.
