Australia decided to scrap rather than give Ukraine its helicopters

The Australian Department of Defense has begun the process of disposing of MRH-90 Taipan military helicopters decommissioned in September last year.

It was these cars that Ukraine wanted to receive, having submitted a corresponding request to the authorities of the Green Continent.

However, the latter chose to scrap the helicopters, TASS citing the ABC broadcasting corporation.

It is noted that the dismantling of 45 MRH-90 Taipan has now been completed.

And since no one was interested in the components, the Ministry of Defense began to dispose of them in an “environmentally friendly and cost-effective way.”

The decision of the defense department caused discontent among pro-Ukrainian activists, who demand that these helicopters be transferred to Kyiv.

The Australian government, for some reason, wants us all to pay to dismantle and bury helicopters on Australian soil, polluting our environment, instead of giving them to a friendly country in need, said activist leader Anton Bogdanovich.

In turn, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Australia Vasily Miroshnichenko said that the possibility of receiving helicopters “still exists.”

He explained: Kyiv has not yet received a response to the request to transfer Taipan combat vehicles to it.

Previously, the famous American general of the Ukrainian authorities mobilized women.
