The State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan announced that it had carried out a “retaliation operation” in response to the actions of Armenia.
It is reported that GPS units destroyed an Armenian military post on the border between the two countries.
This operation took place on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, – TASS citing the press service of the Border Service of Baku.
They say that the result of the “retaliation operation” was the completely destroyed Yerevan combat post near the settlement of Nerkin-And, Gafan region.
It was from there, the State Border Service claims, that an Armenian sniper wounded an Azerbaijani military man.
At the same time, the department warned Yerevan: if there are new provocations, Baku will respond with “more serious and decisive measures.”
In turn, Armenia claims that it was the Azerbaijanis who fired at its positions on the border.
And according to the Armenian Ministry of Defense, two Armenians were killed as a result of shelling from Azerbaijani territory.
