Bärbock: Germany faces a weapons shortage

0views

The German Foreign Ministry announced a shortage of weapons stocks in the Bundeswehr.

This statement was made on August 25 by the head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalena Berbock.

What the minister said

Answering in an interview with a TV channel the question of whether Germany is helping Ukraine enough, the minister said that Germany would like to support Ukraine militarily with everything it has, but the Bundeswehr has an absolute shortage of weapons reserves.

That is why, according to Baerbock, the government created a special fund for the Bundeswehr in the amount of $100 billion, and therefore the military industry must specifically produce materials for Ukraine.

The German Foreign Minister assured that Germany will continue to provide military support to Ukraine.

Burbock believes that we need to be prepared for the fact that the conflict in Ukraine may not end this year and that additional supplies of weapons to Ukraine will be needed in the fall and winter.

And that is why Scholz announced further deliveries for 2023. – concluded the head of the department.
