After weeks of being criticized, sports betting companies that comply with the rules established by the new Brazilian legislation are now preparing for an offensive to reposition themselves in public opinion.
Sports betting sites organize a new association to represent them. The institution’s objective is to bring together as many of the approximately 100 companies that are regularized in Brazil.
The idea is to include the two representative entities that already exist, the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) and the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR), so that together they can become stronger.
The new association has yet to be announced and is in the final stages of dialogue. The goals are to improve coordination with the federal government, the Ministry of Finance and the National Congress. The entity also has the challenge of having a more positive image in public opinion.
