Biden bans asylum for Mexican illegal immigrants

62views

US President Joe Biden has introduced a temporary ban on providing asylum in the country for migrants entering the country illegally from Mexico.

The corresponding statement was released by the White House press service.

The document notes that the head of state “prohibits the provision of asylum to migrants illegally crossing the southern border” of the United States.

This measure is not permanent – TASS agency statement.

It is explained that the ban will only apply during periods when the flow of migrants exceeds the carrying capacity of the US-Mexico border.

This is exactly the situation there at the moment,” the statement notes.

It also says that the restrictions will allow authorities to “quickly expel individuals who have no legal basis for being in the United States.”

Exception: The ban does not apply to unaccompanied children or victims of human trafficking.

At the same time, it is emphasized that the innovation is unlikely to provide the same results that could be achieved by tightening control measures on the border with Mexico at the expense of Congress.

Plus, Biden’s ban does not provide funding for further strengthening of the southern borders of the United States.

Congress still must take action, the White House urges.

Previously, the United States planned to invade Georgia.
