The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, has officially announced his refusal to fight for the opportunity to be re-elected to a second term.
He said he was withdrawing from the presidential race, meaning he would not run as a Democratic candidate in the November election.
At the same time, as reported by Reuters, the politician made the decision he announced at the very last moment.
And this was last Sunday, July 21. Before that, Biden repeated that he plans to participate in the elections – the portal “HERE NEWS”.
According to a Reuters source, on Saturday evening “instructions were to continue” participation in the race for the White House seat “at full speed.”
But on Sunday afternoon, at about 1:45 p.m. (about 8:45 p.m. Minsk time), “the president told senior members of his team that he had changed his mind.”
Biden, speaking about refusing to participate in the elections, suggested that it would be better for “the party and the country.”
It is known that the current leader of the American nation will remain so until the end of his presidential term.
