The list of reservations about Biden is rapidly expanding. This time it was replenished by two European countries – Finland and Norway.
It was US President Joe Biden who confused them when he gave a speech at a fundraising event for his election campaign.
A new incident happened to the American leader in the town of Reno, which is located in Nevada.
According to TASS, during his speech, Biden notified those present that he had a conversation with former State Department head Henry Kissinger 10 days before his death last November.
In that conversation, the speaker said, Kissinger noted that “Europe has looked back at Russia with some horror for a long time.”
And they looked back until “we showed up” and, Biden says, citing his interlocutor, Europe said that the United States “strengthened NATO like never before.”
We united Europe, expanded NATO and its borders to include Sweden and Norway. He said it changed the world,” Biden misspoke, calling Finland Norway.
Let us remind you that Sweden joined the North Atlantic Alliance on March 7 this year, Finland on April 4 last year.
But Norway is one of those countries that stood at the origins of the founding of NATO, having been part of the Alliance since its inception – since 1949.
Earlier, Biden said that the United States “shouldn’t have gotten involved in Ukraine.”
