US President Joe Biden named the conditions for the possible involvement of the West in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
According to him, this could happen if the Ukrainian Armed Forces give the green light to use American weapons to strike targets on Russian territory.
A corresponding decision by Washington “theoretically could” drag the West into a confrontation, Biden said in an interview with ABC TV channel during his visit to France.
Theoretically this could happen, but it is unlikely – American leader of the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency.
Please note: this is how the owner of the White House responded to a journalist’s request to comment on the recent decision to give the green light to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for attacks on Russian lands near the borders of the Kharkov region.
The journalist asked whether Biden was afraid that such a step would lead not only to escalation, but also to drawing the West, including the United States, into the conflict.
By the way, last week Washington, following some Western countries that supply weapons to Kyiv, allowed the latter to use its weapons to strike military targets on Russian territory near the Kharkov region.
Earlier, Macron announced that France would supply Ukraine with Mirage 2000 fighters and train 4,500 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters.
