Biden said Putin decided to allow Russia to invade Ukraine

35views

In his next address to the nation, Joseph Biden said that he became aware of Vladimir Putin’s plans for a military invasion of Ukraine.

He told reporters about this at the White House. This time, Biden did not name the dates of the attack, but merely confirmed Putin’s plans.

Answering questions from journalists, the American leader was brief.

When the head of the White House was asked whether he was sure that the Russian President had made the final decision on the “invasion of Ukraine,” Biden answered laconically, “Yes.”

When Biden was asked whether this decision meant that diplomatic interaction could be terminated between Washington and Moscow, the US President replied, “No.”

This was followed by an explanation of how the White House’s relations with the Kremlin would develop.

Until he does that, diplomacy will always remain an option,” Biden said, referring to his Russian counterpart’s plans for Ukraine.

A little history

During a memorable video conference with the heads of Western countries, the European Union and NATO, Biden named February 16 as the date for the assault on Ukraine.

This time, the American leader did not name exact dates, but emphasized that Ukraine was almost surrounded by the Republic of Belarus and all the way to the Black Sea.

“We have reason to believe that Russian forces are planning and intend to attack Ukraine over the next week, in the coming days,” the American leader was quoted as saying.
