US President Joseph Biden announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine worth half a billion dollars.
The American leader made a corresponding statement at a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Kyiv on February 20.

What will be included in the new aid package?
According to Biden, the new aid package includes more Javelin systems, howitzers, HIMARS shells, anti-tank shells and radar equipment.
The American president did not specify the number of weapons and the timing of their delivery.
Washington is expected to announce more details about the new military aid package tomorrow.
Biden also said that by the end of the week the United States will announce additional sanctions against the Russian elite and companies that support the Russian army and evade sanctions.
