8views

The “black mold” that is killing coronavirus patients in India has reached Iraq.

As foreign websites write, Iraqi doctors confirmed infection with mucormycosis in six people, two of them died.

According to Iraqi Department of Health spokesman Dhi-Qar Ammar Al-Zamili, the first victim died in the city of Nasiriyah.

The fact that the cause of death was “black mold” became known only after the autopsy.

Scientists also believe that residents become infected with “black mold” due to weakened immunity due to coronavirus.

It is worth noting that more than 9 thousand people have become infected with mucormycosis in India.

“Black mold” is dangerous because it can only be gotten rid of by amputating the affected tissue. Some patients in India have had their eyes and parts of their lungs removed.

The mortality rate of such patients can be 100%.

Coronavirus with “black mold” may become the dominant variant of coronavirus in the world, doctors say.
