Blinken stressed the importance of extending the Black Sea deal

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a statement on Monday during a meeting with the Chinese administration.

During his visit to the capital of the People’s Republic of China, he touched upon the topic of food security and the importance of extending the Black Sea grain deal.

RIA Novosti that Blinken was in Beijing on June 18 and 19 – meetings were organized with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other senior officials.

Blinken noted that the United States is ready to cooperate with China in many areas, including climate change and global economic stability.

The US Secretary of State considers it important to ensure food security and combat drug trafficking.

Antony Blinken expressed hope that the Chinese administration will help speed up decision-making regarding the establishment of food security.

The US Secretary of State noted the importance of extending the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

Blinken also discussed the Taiwan issue with the Chinese side.
