Blinken tells Xi Jinping that US does not support Taiwan independence

Chinese leader Xi Jinping met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Beijing.

During the dialogue, the head of the State Department assured his interlocutor that his country does not support Taiwanese independence.

The United States does not support Taiwanese independence and does not intend to enter into conflict with China, – American diplomat at MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

Blinken emphasized that Washington has no plans to organize a new Cold War and does not want to change China’s system.

In turn, Xi Jinping said that he hopes that both countries will be able to overcome difficulties in relations.

In the opinion of the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China, competition between two large states does not meet the needs of the present time.

But for this, he noted, the States must respect China and not harm its legitimate interests and rights.

Xi Jinping said that China does not intend to challenge the United States, but calls on it to take a pragmatic position and interact with Beijing in the same direction.

The future and fate of humanity depends on whether the United States and China can find the right path to coexistence, the politician is confident.
