In the English city of Nottingham, local police detained a 31-year-old man.
He is suspected of killing three people. And he did this, according to available information, using a truck. In other words, he crushed people to death.
The TASS agency reported this with reference to a statement by representatives of the Nottinghamshire County Police Department.
It is noted that law enforcement officers were called at about four o’clock in the morning (about six o’clock in Minsk time) to Ilkeston Road.
It was there that the bodies of two dead citizens were discovered. And then the police were called to Milton Street.
There, the van driver tried to run over three people. After the incident, the victims were taken to the hospital.
Another man was also found dead on Magdala Road.
The police detained a suspect – he turned out to be a 31-year-old man, he is currently in custody.
Law enforcement believes that all three incidents are related. The investigation is ongoing.
It is also known that in the morning several roads in the city center were blocked, and tram traffic was suspended in the central city areas.
Armed police were present at the incident sites.
