Brazil has already received around 1,200 requests for repatriation from Brazilians who are in Lebanon, according to Itamaraty sources. The expectation is that this number will increase considerably after the escalation of conflicts in the region.

The repatriation operation is considered complex both due to the risks involved and the number of people. Lebanon is home to the largest Brazilian community in the Middle East, with 21 thousand people.
