Brazil, Mexico and Argentina did not support the position of the American countries on Ukraine

The joint declaration of the participants of the Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas has been published.

According to the document, the majority of department heads (13 out of 21) refused to support harsh condemnations of Russia’s actions in Ukraine.

At the same time, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina stated that this topic should not be discussed at the forum, since it falls within the competence of the UN.

Please note: conflicts on the planet, including Ukraine and Haiti, “are not legitimate means of resolving disputes.”

Therefore, the member states of the Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas hope for an early peaceful solution, – text of the declaration of MIA “Russia Today”.

Note that the event with the participation of 21 countries is taking place in the capital of Brazil, Brasilia.

Eight heads of the Ministry of Defense – Canada, Colombia, the United States, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic – requested the inclusion of a footnote.

In it they posted a separate statement about their “strong disapproval” of the events taking place in Ukraine.
