The first group of Ukrainian pilots completed a basic training course in the UK and began training flights in Denmark.

The first Ukrainian pilots have completed a basic training course in flying Western F-16 fighters, the UK Ministry of Defense reports.

The training was organized by the British Air Force, and the first group included six Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.

The next stage involves conducting training flights in Denmark.

A new group of 10 Ukrainian military personnel has begun basic flight training in the UK.

F-16 transfer

Kyiv’s Western partners call the main condition for the transfer of F-16 fighters to the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the need to train pilots and aircraft maintenance personnel.

The preparation of the first group was organized by Great Britain back in September. At the same time, pilot training began in Denmark.

It is reported that they are ready to transfer 42 American F-16 fighters from the Netherlands and 19 from Denmark to Kyiv.

The transfer of military aircraft is expected to take place no earlier than the spring of 2024.

It was previously reported that he was trained in the United States in the first battle.
